Deep Ecology

I would like to offer some or all of the following: a 2-hour Council of All Beings workshop.

* a 1-hour presentation titled "Buddha Touched the Earth"

* a 1-hour presentation titled "The Religion of Economics"

John Seed is founder and president of the Rainforest Information Centre. Since 1979 he has been involved in the direct actions which have resulted in the protection of the Australian rainforests.

He has written and lectured extensively on deep ecology and has been conducting Councils of All Beings and other re-Earthing workshops  around the world for 25 years. With Joanna Macy, Pat Fleming and Professor Arne Naess, he wrote "Thinking Like a Mountain - Towards a Council of All Beings" (New Society Publishers) which has now been translated into 10 languages.

In 1995 he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) by the Australian Government for services to conservation and the environment.

In 2003 he spearheaded the Rainforest Information Centre's endangered species campaign and made the film "On The Brink" with David Attenborough, David Suzuki, Olivia Newton-John and Jack Thompson.

In 2010 he conducted  a 30 lecture tour of India sponsored by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs'.

In 2016 he is campaigning for rainforest conservation and indigenous survival in Ecuador, Cambodia, India and beyond and conducting deep ecology workshops around Australia and NZ.

He has been offering workshops and presentations at many festivals including ReGrowth, Rainbow Serpent, Southern Oracle, Woodford  and  Peats Ridge .
